CPU
Short, browser-based load test
This puts your computer under heavy load for up to 60 seconds. Fans may spin up and the device will get warm — that’s normal. It stops automatically, when you press Stop, or when you leave the tab. Lighter than dedicated tools like Prime95 or FurMark.

What a browser can and can’t check
Web browsers can talk to your mic, camera, speakers, keyboard, mouse and screen — so we test those for real. They cannot read your hard drive health, temperatures, drivers or viruses. Any website that claims to “scan your PC for viruses” from the browser is not being honest with you.

Questions
Is FreeComTools really free?
Yes. Every test is free with no sign-up. The site is supported by ads, which are kept away from the test controls.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs in a modern browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari or Whale.
Is my microphone or camera data uploaded?
Never. Audio and video are processed in your browser’s memory and disappear when you close the page. We have no server that could receive them.
Can it find viruses or check my hard drive?
No — and no website can. Browsers are deliberately walled off from your files, drives, temperatures and drivers. For those, use your operating system’s built-in tools or your manufacturer’s diagnostics.
How long does the full checkup take?
About one to two minutes. You can skip any device you don’t have.
Can I share the result with a repair shop?
Yes. Press “Copy report” on the result screen and paste it into an email or chat.
